Endpapers are cracked to webbing at inner hinges, creating some give in the spine, but all still bound. Text is is still bright and clean throughout, with occasional spotting. Stain mark to top of vertical edge of text block, but not affecting the face of the printed pages. Engraved portrait frontispiece, with small marginal water stain to top left. With original tissue guard before title. Fold-out colour map is in very good condition with just one 2cm tear to left margin. Very attractively illustrated throughout.
