INSCRIBED BY GENEE on the front free endpaper as follows: "To |Margo Paine | Happiness always } Edythe Hope Genee | Oct. 10, 1947." 8vo. 142[2]p. Thirty full-page iconic and characteristic black and white drawings of Don Blanding, including a full-page image of Edythe Hope Genee on p 6, as well as headpieces and tailpieces throughout. Green cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine and an elaborate gilt design on the front cover of flowers and stars. Title page has an elaborate cartouche with the initials of the author intertwined against a backdrop of flower petals. Just touches of wear to extremities, lower corners of covers very lightly bumped, cloth clean, gilt bright (!), else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket slightly chipped with a couple of tears with nothing missing. This is a volume of poetry, per the dust jacket blurb, "A Volume of Many-Mooded Poems." Many of these poems were published previously in national and regional periodicals. The illustrations by Don Blanding are simply superb. Signed by Author(s).
