Condition: Fair. 1919. Second Edition. 265 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Shaky binding due to cracked hinges, but all pages remain attached. Contains black and white photographs and diagrams throughout. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Noticeable crushing and slight splitting to spine ends. Gilt remains bright. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall. Book has a slight forward lean.

Light foxing and heavy tanning to pages, text block edges and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Pen inscription to half title page, pencil inscriptions to rear pastedown and free endpaper. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild mottling, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft splitting and crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.
