Dust jacket rubbed and soiled with latter strongest to white spine and white rear panel; color pictorial front panel with unfortunate surface peeling at bottom quarter; shallow red staining from binding cloth at dj's bottom edges; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Red cloth with black stamping to front board and spine. Red top edge. Some toning at endpaper gutters but interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding retains some crispness. Features five plays: "The Wonder Hat;" "The Two Lamps;" "An Idyll of the Shops;" "The Hand of Siva;" and "The Hero of Santa Maria.".

THE PLAY MAY ALSO HAVE BEEN PRODUCED BY THE LORING- KENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS. THE SCHOOL WAS AFFILIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO AND WAS SITUATED AT 46TH STREET AND ELLIS AVENUE. THE SCHOOL FUNCTIONED FROM 1876 TO 1962. THIS IS A VERY RARE BEN HECHT EPHEMERAL ITEM.
