The 416 pages are clean, tight with light foxing to front pages including the frontis and title page. Edges are tanned. Table of contents has small ink underlines - no other markings to the pages. This includes Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland, Wilson, and Hoover.

The New Jersey Conference, set off in 1837 from the Philadelphia Conference, was divided in 1857, into New Jersey and Newark Conferences. Newark Conference, including adjacent areas in New York and Pennsylvania which had been part of the itinerary of Francis Asbury and other traveling preachers, was renamed Northern New Jersey Conference in 1965.
