Book Print on Demand
Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. The first book ever written about surfcasting The Call of the Surf is still a well loved classic. Much more than a descriptive book (although you will certainly be informed by the tips and hints given within, many of which are still as valuable now as they were when it was first published nearly 100 years ago) the writing will take you away and bring you on a real fishing adventure. For fans of surfcasting this book is also a beautiful reminder of the sport in its infancy and as such a historical gem it can be enjoyed on several levels. As the author writes: "The purpose of this book is threefold: to afford some small entertaimnent to brother fishermen on those long evenings when the north wind howls and winters sleet drives against the window pane; to attract the stranger to a sport in which the authors have found a vast measure of happiness, and to make somewhat smoother his trail to the Big-Sea Water.". print-on-demand item.
