Two of the seventeen plates are fold-out maps. One map laid in the back shows the Seward Peninsula and folds out to approximately 35" x 27." There are twelve illustrations and diagrams. Maps are very clean and intact. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. The spine is a bit worn and a few of the pages are loose. F. F. Henshaw and G. L. Parker authored Surface Water Supply of Seward Peninsula, Alaska; Philip S. Smith wrote A Sketch of the Geography and Geology; and Alfred H. Brooks wrote A Description of Methods of Placer Mining.
