Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The author was descended from the Galbraith family, who started to come over to the New World from Ireland in the 1860's and became the first white settlers in Kootenay country in British Columbia, founding the town of Fort Steele. Here she tells their story. Illustrated with a section of black & white photographs. The book is near fine, with some minor wear at spine ends and some light spotting to top edge. Dust jacket is very good, slightly rubbed and with some internally strengthened creased tears to top of front panel and a bookseller's label over the price on flap. JS.
