Magazine. 158p. + ads, poetry, fiction, essays, reviews, art, very good paperback literary journal in wraps. First publication of a poem by Charles Simic. Irving Rosenthal planned a Winter 1959 issue focused on the Beats and excerpting more of "Naked Lunch" and Kerouac's "Sebastian Midnight" but the University stopped the presses which led to Rosenthal and others leaving and forming their own Beat Journal titled "Big Table." Hyung Woong Pak was the only editor to stay with the Chicago review. This is the issue that replaced the planned Beat Issue.
