Book First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. First Edition. A good copy of the first hard cover edition, inscribed and signed by Walter H. Kilham on the front free endpaper to William F. Buckley. As Kilham indicates in a printed note facing the title page: "The author's introduction to Mexico was through the courtesy of Eman L. Beck and William F. Buckley to whom he gratefully acknowledges his indebtedness." Thus, an important association copy. The book is lacking a dust-jacket, and has sustained some moisture damage that is evident to the binding, as well as to the top and bottom edges of the pages only throughout most of the book. A surface abrasion to the spine has worn through the red cloth, causing a 1" tear. Pages are a tad yellowed with age, but there is no must. All in all a serviceable copy, uncommon signed. Signed by Author(s).
