In Tangier, an American spy posing as a black marketeer is on a mission to stop three atomic scientists who plan to pool their government secrets and make a profitable deal with the Communists. A late-career project from prolific director Lew Landers, best known for his low-budget western and adventure films at RKO and Columbia. Blue titled wrappers, noted as production No. 203. Title page integral with the distribution page, with receipt intact, rubber-stamped copy No. 46, with story and screenwriting credits to George Bricker. 115 leaves, with last page of text numbered 110. Final Draft script for the 1942 film, here under the working title "Missing Submarine." Copy belonging to Marguerite Chapman, who played Sue Curry in the film, with a few annotations in manuscript pencil at the inclusion of her character's lines. Laid in is a singing telegram birthday greeting for Chapman, from Evelyn Keys, in its original telex envelope. A Japanese aircraft carrier is headed to Pearl Harbor December 6, 1941 when it encounters an American yacht and sinks it. Sue Curry (Chapman) is the yacht's sole survivor and she is picked up by an American submarine, which intercepts the proposed attack on Pearl Harbor and tries to warn American forces in advance. The next day, they hear news of the attack over the radio and devise a plan to have the carrier pursue their submarine instead of heading to its intended target. Set in the Pacific Ocean. Tan titled self wrappers, noted as Revised Final Draft on the front wrapper, dated February 21, 1942, with credits for screenwriter Aubrey Wisberg. 107 leaves, with last page of text numbered 110. Archive of material from the 1951 film belonging to actor Lon McCallister, including a Final Draft script with McCallister's annotations throughout, an eleven-page shooting schedule, four reference photographs, and three poster mock-ups for the film. Additionally laid in with the script are two loose leaves, one with notes in McCallister's hand, noting lines of dialogue. A group of green army recruits nicknamed the "peach fuzz brigade" become hardened over the course of the Korean War, facing violent raids and attacks by snipers. Script: Green titled Columbia Pictures wrappers, noting the working title "Rookie in Korea," noted as FINAL DRAFT on the front wrapper and production No. 8031, dated Oct. 17, 1950. Title page present, dated October 17, 1950, noted as Final Draft, with credits for screenwriter William Sackheim. 124 leaves, with last page of text numbered 133.
