Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. A slim softcover catalog, in very good condition. Bound in tan paper wraps and saddle-stapled. The contents include descriptions of gears, many tables, and black & white illustrations throughout. 18 pages (unpaginated). Ex-library. Dup is written in pencil on the front cover, next to a Feb 3 1891 date stamp from the US Patent Office Library. The rest of the volume is free of writing or stamps. Includes sections titled: Iron Spur Gears with Cast Teeth; Iron Miter and Bevel Gears with Cast Teeth; Directions for Ordering Gears; Odontics, or the Theory and Practice of the Teeth of Gears; etc. The spine is rubbed with some chipping to the paper. Corners of the volume are bumped and the edges of the wraps show light wear. The wraps also have some marks/discoloration from rubbing and there is a dark smudge on the back cover. The first and last 8 pages of the book are uncut at the top; there is a small closed tear on the top edge of the first section of pages. Toned with age. With no loose or missing pages. The binding is strong and sturdy.
