Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Reddish cloth in dust jacket. 31 pages. A first hand account of the Korean War as experienced by Patrick James McCaffery, serving in the Seventeenth Regiment, Seventh Division of the US Armed Forces in Korea. Edited and arranged by his mother, this work recalls his time as a machine gunner and radio operator, mentioning in somewhat brief terms, Chinese attacks, battles, slogging up and down hills, laying wire and mines, etc., as well as the daily life of the soldier when not in combat. GOOD jacket on a VERY GOOD book. General fading to the jacket, with some browning to the rear panel. Minor soiling and scuffing. Two large tears to the jacket at the upper front extremity with some chipping and loss to the head of the spine. Minor chipping and tearing to the corners. Small area of darkening from a removed price sticker on the front cover of the book. Minor toning to the interior.
