Hardcover. 665p. A brown cloth hardcover book in acceptable condition. Edges heavily worn. Spine faded. Cloth splitting along the spine. Pages foxed, but otherwise unmarked. Binding secure for normal handling, despite external damage. From the title page: "A narrative of marvellous experiences among all classes of society, -- criminals in high life, swindlers, bank robbers, thieves, lottery agents, gamblers, necromancers, counterfeiters, burglars, etc., etc., etc." Contains a few black and white engravings.

Wear & rubbing to leather, with some loss to tips. Cracking along front joint. Front board is secure, but fragile. Binding is firm. Previous owners notations at front endpapers; toning & light soiling to endpapers; This appears to be a First Edition as the date on the copyright page and title page match and no other printings are noted. otherwise interior is age toned, with limited soiling & wear scattered throughout. I did not find any markings to the text. Local buyers are welcome to pick item up at our store in Rochester on Monroe Ave. Please ask any questions before purchase.
