In the Lowry illustrated dust jacket printed red and black on unbleached paper, unclipped ($3.00). Jacket with spine ends just a touch rubbed. A handsome, bright copy. Collected stories and essays "not for readers who hate to think," in the blurb. New Directions issued at least two states of this title under a 1941 copyright. This is the second issue, with Lowry dust jacket and Lustig title page, though Lustig is credited for both on the copyright page as the plates were unchanged from the first issue. Dust jacket preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
