Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition. This magnificent book is quite sizeable (almost 8 pounds in weight), and consists of three reports bound together, giving the state of the art for 1902: Central Electric Light and Power Stations, Street and Electric Railways, and Telephones and Telegraphs. As befits the Census Bureau, the book is replete with charts and maps, but numerous photos are also included. Equipment, distribution, finances, all are described and more. The book evidently was withdrawn from a school library, but the only signs of this are an attractive bookplate and a small call number on the spine. The book is very clean. The front hinge is starting to separate, but so far so good. The edges of the textblock are darkened, and the corners are bumped, but over all, the book looks quite good for its age.; Ex-library; Oversize.
