Vintage color promotional flyer for the 1939 film, with a theater stamp on the verso for "Roxy Theatre / Argyle, Minn / Oct. 29-30 / Mat. Sun.," circa 1939. The bi-fold flyer features a one-color pink "It's a Date!" recto with Ann Sheridan, and a full color interior spread featuring Sheridan, film stills, and illustrations, with an unprinted verso for a theater's information, as found here with the Roxy Theatre's stamp. Based on the short story "Echoes That Old Refrain" by Corey Ford, published in The Saturday Evening Post, May 29, 1937. Sheridan stars as a divorced glamour girl who returns to her college for the annual Winter Carnival and falls in love with an old boyfriend, Richard Carlson, now a tweedy professor. Set in and shot on location at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire. 6 x 6.75 inches, Bi-fold. Faint toning and light creasing on the verso, else Near Fine.
