Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Full leather, 4to, with metal clasp at fore-edge; with 17 heavy cardstock leaves, illustrated with images of ships and ocean liners, and with cut-out sleeves for the insertion of photographs. Contains 52 sepia and b/w photographs (silver gelatin and albumen prints), cartes-de-visite, cabinet cards; ranging in size from about 1-by-2 inches to 4-by-5.5 inches; images of men, women, boys and girls. Leather split along joints; boards scuffed along the edges; pages very lightly rubbed, but overall internally bright and clean. Illustrations include the HMS Worcester and Green Company Line; Allan and National Lines; Anchor and McBrayne's Highland Lines; Cunard and Orient Lines; Dominion and Inman Lines; Donald Currie's and W. & A. Brown and Company's Lines; P. & O. and Union Lines; Royal Mail Line, Brazilian and other boats; Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's and Union Lines; White Star and British India Lines. Photographs hail primarily from England, with another from Germany and a few of unidentified origin. All are in excellent condition -- just a few are very lightly rubbed or soiled. Of maritime interest, of course, but also a wonderful look at the fashions of the period.
