Published by Prosser Twin Cylinder Car Company, Chicago, 1879
First Edition
softcover. Condition: Good +. First Edition. Sewn pamphlet, approx. 5 1/8" wide by 7 5/8" tall, 28 pages. Illustrated with engravings on covers and a couple in the text. Some spotting on rear cover which has partially bled over to the inside of booklet for several pages--does not obscure text. The Prosser twin cyclinder car was an improved method of shipping grain via railway over the regular method. It had more than double the capacity of the ordinary car, and was a lighter draft, which would improve profits. It also had the ability to dry grain in the car, to prevent it from moulding or fermenting. However, the car was never adopted by railroads, in spite of its superior qualities. 041407A.
