Several of the poems in this volume were previously printed in various periodicals, and the poem "Elegy for a House" previously appeared, by itself, in a private limited edition printed by the Bryant Press of Portland, Maine. SIGNED and dated by the author on front endpaper. Light-to-moderate rubbing to cover extremities; upper cover corners lightly bumped. Spine label chipped and with about half of gilt rubbed away. Light irregular sun fade to portions of rear cover cloth, along with light soil. Only library marks are call digits at lower spine and upper inside front cover, and pocket- and 'date due" slip removal scars to rear endpapers. Interior text clean, tight, and unworn. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. After a devastating fire destroyed his boyhood home, Houghton Farm, the author poured his loss into this 15-page sonnet. This is copy #142 of the 200 copies printed. It was signed and presented by the author to his local library, the Brunswick Public Library Association in Maine. Printed on handmade paper and bound in simple gray boards with a black cloth covered spine, the book has Brunswick Library shelf markings and labels as well as a bookplate recording the author's gift.
