Soundly bound in original heavy blue cloth with titles brightly in gilt to spine and with original pictorial dust jacket. Prior owner - Mary Hammond Bond - ownership penned to front endpage. Her occasional pencil bracket or underline to mentions of her ancestor, Phineas Bond and the Bond family. Contemporary newpaper review by Carl Van Doren laid in at front. Dust jacket moderately toned and lightly shelf soiled with shallow chipping to spine ends and rubbing at edges. VG/VG- .
