    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo; xvi, 201 pages; light brown buckram, titled in black on spine and on front cover, with a mining themed 'R' coat-of-arms device. First edition, a very near fine copy with no faults. Illustrated with a frontispiece of Rockfellow on horseback, and five photographic plates: of Pete (Don Pedro) Kitchen, Walter Servoss, Cochise Stronghold Canyon, On a Treasure Hunt with Frank Lockwood, and '79' Rock. This copy inscribed and signed by Rockwood in ink vertically in four lines on the front free endpaper, 'Inscribed to / Miss Adela Von Horn / Our 'Strongwater' friend / J. A. Rockfellow'. Six Guns and Saddle Leather, 1878 - "An account of pioneer Arizona containing some material on the outlaws of that state" Scarce; Rampaging Herd, 1928; and Howes R 392. Rockfellow came to Arizona in 1878, and was a cattleman - interested in early Arizona stock, mining, teaching, surveying and engineering. Laid in a newspaper clipping with a photo of Lockwood and short biography of him. Inscribed by Author(s).
