Based on the 1948 novel by Frank Bonham. During the Civil War, a group of outlaws pose as Southern sympathizers in order to raid stagecoaches, forcing a Union man and Butterfield Stage Line sharpshooter to team up in order to stop them. Shot on location in Lone Pine and Cantil, California. Green titled wrappers, noted as FINAL DRAFT and production No. 1228 on the front wrapper, dated Mar. 22, 1950. Title page present, dated March 21, 1950, noted as FINAL DRAFT, with credits for screenwriters Robert Libott and Frank Burt. 128 leaves, with last page of text numbered 127.
