This work was issued Publishing Permit #56 issued by ROK Ministry of Education. The author, who was the wife of James Harold Berrean, lived in Korea for many years. Her late husband served with the military government and later with the American Embassy. Evacuated from Seoul following the communist invasion, they returned to Seoul following the cease-fire and represented a voluntary agency engaged in aid and rehabilitation until 1964. She has authored other works pertaining to native life in Korea.
