Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: VG-. 1st Edition. Series blue cloth with gilt sp. lettering and logo centre fr., near pristine but sp. lettering strikes me as a tad dull. Society half-title identifying this as Second Series No. CXXIII + f/pieces + lvii + 333, 14 Small tanning flecks to top edge. further plates ex-pagination, 6 being double sided, 4 text figs, 2 'Sketch Maps' in text; short sig. top fr. end-paper, spotted three slightly bad openings slightly affecting top margins of leaves involved but this really rather trivial, also odd opening long done by publishers usually since mid-19th century, so likely a production fault. Jacket not price-clipped but corner top fr. wraparound excised; generally clean and minimally worn but spine slightly darkened, faint tanning to outer edges, very slight rubbing to top edges, 2 short internally repaired tears to fr. bottom outer corner and bottom fr. spine corner, a faint line to lower spine, all this not so bad as diligently listing it makes it sound. Will add protective sleeve when ordered. 15cm x 22.5 cm.
