Stapled wraps. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. [nice clean copy, no significant wear, one-time owner's name/address label on front cover]. Wingnuttery of an earlier era, a cranky-rant against the Federal Reserve, the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Monetary Fund, and of course the "I.B." (International Bankers) who, according to Mr. Vennard, pull the strings on the whole shebang. ("I.B.", naturally, being code for "Jews" -- a word the author carefully avoids using.) According to his autobiographical rundown on the inside front cover, Vennard at that time had spent "26 years endeavoring to alert the People of this Great Country to their jeopardy" at the hands of these nefarious forces -- said endeavors apparently taking the form of publishing a slew of booklets like this one. (Nine additional available titles are listed on the inside rear cover.) In his worldview, basically everything that happened since the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 (including both World Wars) was part of a grand scheme to foist a One World Government on freedom-loving Americans. (This quote sums up his thesis nicely: "In this country the Establishment is known as the Secret Government or the Council on Foreign Relations; in Britain as the Royal Institute of International Affairs; and in Russia as the Communist Party. For fifty years the C.F.R. has controlled both Major Parties in the U.S.A.; i.e., a one-party money Dictatorship.") I mean, this guy was even to the right of the John Birch Society, who he claims was lobbying to prevent the establishment of a third party in American politics. He ends the book with a couple of Bible verses (related to the money-changers in the temple, of course, and money being the root of all evil), and signs off as National Chairman of an organization called America for Americans, headquartered in Houston, Texas. This seems to be one of Mr. Vennard's harder-to-find works, with OCLC recording but a single copy, at Michigan State U. Maybe everybody who got ahold of a copy had to be, you know, neutralized.
