Original blue cloth with gilt titles, octavo, 331 pp. Many full page plates from photographs, many engraved plates, 2 folding maps printed in colors. The California Blue Books were issued biennially and contained complete rosters of state and local officials, statistics on communtities, political histories of the state, counties, departments, etc. One of the state maps shows counties and congressional districts, the other shows counties and assembly districts. This a presentation copy inscribed and signed by Secretary of State E. G. Waite to Geo. F. Brommer. Spot of white residue on front cover, light wear to cover cloth, short tear to maps at lower fold outside image area, else near fine.
