Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First edition. Endpapers and top edge a little foxed, else fine in near fine dustwrapper with a crease on the rear flap. Hard-boiled novel about the lone son of Irish railroad workers who decides to become a long haul trucker, forms his own company, battles spies and saboteurs during wartime, and falls in love with the daughter of his rival for freight, the president of a railroad company. Exceptionally uncommon - Dorrance seems to have been only one step removed from an out-and-out vanity press publisher, and most of their publications were issued in very limited print runs. *OCLC* locates but four copies of this title.
