Each single-topic issue is in printed wraps with eight to twelve pages of illustrated text by an authority on the selected subject, plus six photogravure black and white plates with extensive explanatory information on the back. These plates are loosely laid into the covers and are often missing. This issue has all six plates present, and show scenes along the St. Lawrence, including views of Quebec, the Long Sault Rapids, Perce Village and Rock, Thousand Islands, Capes Trinity and Eternity, and more.
