Presumed first U.S. ed.; 222 p., clean and unmarked except for former owner's name and date in elegant hand on front paste down; opened pages; paper strong and only faintly age-toned; binding firm; blue boards with still bright gilt stamped image of woman with trident on front board are sunned at edges and at spine, effacing the lettering. In absence of d.j., there is light bumping of corners and slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine.
