Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Fascinating account of the author's years in Chili from an outsider's somewhat judgemental perspective, "We are not satisfied with the location of our house, from which nothing is to be seen but filthy people, donkeys, dogs, and sailors' boarding-houses." p. 51. viii, 158 pp. 8vo. Brown cloth covered boards with blind embossed boards, gold embossing to spine. Light wear and scuffing, minor soiling from age, now in paper covered slipcase. Endpapers appear to have been replaced at some point, a masterful job, light foxing within.
