Hardcover. Condition: Good. Abu al-Feda (1273-1331) was a historian, geographer and local governor of Hamah. He was a prince of the Ayyubide dynasty. This description of Egypt is in fact a part of the monumental work of Abu al-Fida known as The Concise History of Humanity or Chronicles (Taqweem al-Buldan). It is possible that this is the first translation of this text to European language by the leading scholar Michaelis. Bibliographical reference: Hilmy 1, 11. #32834.
