This copy is in Very Good or better condition with a square, tight binding and clean pages throughout; the book does show mild rubbing to the edges and some light age-spotting to the text block. Housed in an original, intact good dust jacket that shows a large chip to the spine foot, one small tear to the spine, and moderate chipping and foxing to the top edges and spine. Not remaindered, not price clipped, not ex-library; in a protective Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box. Signed by Author(s).

Susan Gertrude Schell (1891-1970) was an American painter and educator. She taught at the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art from 1930 through 1960. Schell was a member of the Philadelphia Ten- a group of female artists from the United States who exhibited together from 1917 to 1945. The group exhibited annually in Philadelphia and later had traveling exhibitions at museums throughout the East Coast and the Midwest.
