A scarce slipcased edition containing Near Fine hardcover copies of 'The Raffles Drawings in the India Office Library, London' (38 full-page plates + commentaries) and 'Statement of the Services of Sir Stamford Raffles' which traces Raffles' career in Java, west Sumatra and Singapore. Both volumes have previous owners' attractive ex-libris plates attached to front endpapers ('Calcutta 1978') otherwise only minor traces of wear and no damage to corners. The dust wrappers remain in pleasing condition with just a trace of browning to the spine of the Drawings volume. Overall a well-preserved Near Fine set in a Very Good+ heavy duty slipcase which has some fading to fore-edges and light traces of surface wear only - no splits.
