This is a collaborative autobiography of the 3 Burrage children Allen, Winifried and Elsie, about their childhood on aboriginal reserves early in the 20th-century. Bain Attwood, a Monash University history lecturer, in an introductory essay "discusses the different histories we have of relations between European and First Nations people in Australia.". He then goes on to weave together the Burrages' oral history and other histories as a validation for history. A little creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the edges and panels.
