Beginning from the evident data of experience, the student is led through an orderly series of analyses until the main lines of the Thomistic synthesis have emerged as a coherent set of answers to genuine questions. The first two sections deal with the nature and metaphysical structure of the beings we know from experience. Attention is then directed to God as the source of all the changeable, finite, and multiple reality about us. In a final section the activities of created beings are considered in relation to God's transcendent causality. The essentials of General Metaphysics, Cosmology, and Natural Theology are thus blended into a smooth and compact course.
