He met the American-born French entertainer Josephine Baker when he was working as a bellhop in Paris, at the age of fourteen, in 1958. He then became the last of twelve children adopted into Baker's Rainbow Family.He first came to the United States on Josephine Baker's final American tour in 1973. His career has included being a model, nightclub owner, recording artist, ACE Award-winning television producer, popular author of Josephine: The Hungry Heart, and restaurateur.
