Illustrated with a b&w map. 5" x 7". 305 pp. Tan decorated cloth, front endpapers darkened, early owner inscription on a blank endpaper. "Principally devoted to an account of camp life on the shores of Lake Memphremagog (in Maine)" (Phillips). These were vacation trips made by a group of Methodists, with two chapters on fishing for lake trout (which is referred to by the curious name of 'lunge'). He describes making spoon lures and trolling rigs. There is also a chapter on a month of camping and description of life in India. ".including fishing, and some intelligent conclusions regarding it. There is an extraordinary chapter on camping in India" (Bruns). Scarce. Very good.
