Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. Original brown cloth, lavishly stamped in gilt and white on upper board and spine; Margaret Armstrong design. Boards just a little rubbed, with a few spots of fading on lower board; spine tips and corners gently bumped; previous owner's art-nouveau-inspired bookplate on front paste-down; prelims and terminals faintly foxed. A pleasing copy of the author's first book, published 4 days before the London edition.
