Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardcover. Blue cloth over boards. "Rotating Aircraft" written on the spine in white paint, with a square of white paint further down the spine. Measures 10.5 x 8 inches. Multiple sections bound together in library binding; each section individually paginated. Sections are numbered as follows: 474, 508, and 871 -- published, respectively, in 1928, 1934 and 1938. The first section is titled "Windmills in the Light of Modern Research". 27 pages. The next is titled "Landing Characteristics of an Autogiro". 9 pages. Section 3 is titled "Performance of Rotating-Wing Aircraft". 28 pages. Each section is followed by multiple figures and tables. The entire volume, with original covers, has a later library binding. Gutters at front and back reinforced with white cloth. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the front free endpaper. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Light rubbing to covers. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before the committee was abolished upon creation of NASA in 1958.
