Book
Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 'Outlaw Brand' cover painting by Vic Prezio / "Guns on the Santa Fe" front cover illustration by Bob Stanley (illustrator). Four mass market Western paperbacks, all originally priced 25 cents. 'Long Rider' and 'Bugles West' are as-new, though 'Bugles West' shows some edge rub. 'Outlaw Brand' is "good-only" with a rolled spine and a dampstain to bottom outside corner of front wrap which penetrates to lower outside margin of the first 40 pages. "Long Rider" is a 1953 first paperback printing of a book originally published in hardcover by Dodd, Mead in 1942. 'Outlaw Brand" is likely a paperback original, 1956. "Bugles West" is a 1957 paperback first of a novel originally published in hardcover by Rinehart and Company, 1954. And "Guns on the Santa Fe," Lion Books 37, states "Lion edition published July, 1950." (The Dodd, Mead hardcover original was apparently 1948.) Soft vertical crease near center of rear wrap, and another near the spine to front wrap, but if this book was read it was read carefully. Originally priced 25 cents. 159 pp. Four 1950s Western mass-market paperbacks consolidated into a single lot to consolidate shipping charge, price for the four now reduced from $36.
