Soft cover. Condition: Good. HOL 039451 This is a paperback publication of the account, written after the war, of a Polish-Jewish teenage girl who survived the Nazi concentration camps. The book itself is clean and tight though there is clear tape neatly and almost invisibly applied to the spine. Unusually, there is dust jacket which has the same cover photo of Jews being marched down a street by Nazis as the book itself. The white dust jacket has some soiling and has maybe 10 short tears along the edges and one larger tear at the top of the spine which went through the authors name. We have put the jacket in a clear Brodart sleeve to protect it from further damage and hold it together. This copy was distributed by Twayne Publishers though the date is unclear. The book was originally written in 1964-65, published in Polish in Warsaw in 1967 but this copy has a 1971 copyright by the author and a Library of Congress catalog number that begins with 1977.
