In un piovigginoso sabato di settembre, John Ridgway e Chay Blyth approdarono nel piccolo villaggio irlandese di Inishmore, dopo aver remato soli, attraverso l'Atlantico, in una piccola barca lunga circa 6 metri e larga 1 metro e mezzo. I loro 92 giorni di viaggio, con partenza da Cape Cod, furono una vittoria incredibile.
