Brick red boards have crisp gilt lettering on front but slightly faded on the spine. Spotting to rear boards. Wear to spine especially to ends. Slight lean to volume. Inside rear cover is a label from Johnson & Johnsons of Cleburne, Texas. Curl to all corners of boards. Wear inside front cover with a tear along the spine and along the top. Previous owner's notes in black ink on front flyleaf. Ding continues through front flyleaves. From verso:"Fifteenth Impression August, 1903" Chipping to lower edge of Dedication page and others with deckle edging.
