Working with its Barton collection, "one of the finest Shakespeare collections.in the world", BPL's Haraszti looks at the Bard's impact on Hungarian literature, an impact which came late: "In the work of a native Hungarian, Shakespeare's name first appeared in 1776". Front wrapper begining to split at spine, else a Very Good set. Thrown in "Shakespeareana" in a 1923 number, with Howard Henry Furness' 1882 letter on BPL's Shakespeare collection: "Thomas Pennant Barton and His Library" in a 1927 issue; "Ireland's Shakespeare Forgeries" from 1934, after an exhibit of "His (Ireland's) books and letters, and several of his original forgeries, on view in the Treasure Room" of BPL. These last are Very Good, all six are ex-library copies.
