This particular copy is ex libris American sociologist Joseph B. Gittler and from the collection of "The Expert on Experts," Florida State University cognitive psychologist Anders Ericsson (1947-2020), the globally recognized researcher in the field of performance studies and the psychological nature of expertise whose work Malcolm Gladwell popularized in his bestselling book Outliers. 8 7/8" X 6 1/4". xii, 356pp. Bound in red cloth over boards, with spine lettered in black. Rather heavy wear to binding, with sunning to spine, scattered rubbing, open tears to head and tail of spine, and corners bumped and split open. Rear hinge cracked and reinforced with archival adhesive. Binding remains sound. Black topstain intruding to top margin of some pages. Previous owner's stamp of Joseph B. Gittler, Dean of the Ferkauf Graduate School at New York's Yeshiva University. Occasional pencilled notes to pages, else unmarked.
