Signiert und datiert. Wien, 27. Nov. 1867.4 Seiten, Format ca. 23x14,5 cm. Etwas gebräunt, leichtere Randläsuren, zweifach gefaltet, sonst gut erhalten. (Der österreichische Astronom, Autor und Direktor der Wiener Universitätssternwarte Karl Ludwig Littrow, seit 1836 Edler von Littrow, (1811 - 1877) wurde 1847 mit Otto Wilhelm von Struve zum Beurteilungskommissar über den trigonometrischen Anschluss von Russland und Österreich-Ungarn ernannt. Littrow setzte den Neubau der Universitätssternwarte Wien durch, die noch sein Vater angeregt hatte. Ihre Fertigstellung hat er allerdings nicht mehr erlebt. Vgl. Öst. Lex. I, 721 und Czeike IV, 76. - An den Astronomen Heinrich Louis d Arrest (1822 - 1875), der in Deutschland und Kopenhagen wirkte und Entdecker mehrerer Kometen und des Asteroiden Freia war.
