Prints a selection of poems by Charles Baudelaire, with a four-page preface by Paul Eluard and a three-page poem by Charles Henri Ford 'Ballad for Baudelaire'.

Charles Henri Ford chose Baudelaire as the "Poet of the Month" for this publication, and wrote an introductory "Ballad for Baudelaire." The Preface is by Paul Eluard,and the cover shows a drawing of Baudelaire by Henri Matisse. Translations of Baudelaire's poems are by William Candlewood, with the original French en face. Some very faint toning to grey paper wrappers, else fine.
