Impressed "art" (A. R. Tommasini's initials) emblem on front cover. Original card laid-in: "This little book, number twenty-eight in a series of Christmas keepsakes, comes to you with sincerest best wishes for your happiness, good health, good cheer at Christmas and in the New Year ahead from A. R. Tommy Tommasini." Pages are clean; binding is tight. Very tiny, faint smudge on front cover and a couple on the back. A clean, fine copy. Under Acknowledgments: "B. Franklin/Innovator, was first published as a keepsake in connection with the 1961 New York Printing Week Celebration on the occasion of the 255th Anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin." This book briefly describes the innovations and accomplishments of Benjamin Franklin chronologically: The Junto, Pennsylvania Gazette, First Subscription Library in America, Philadelphische Almanack, The Union Fire Company, "Associators," Pennsylvania Academy, Pennsylvania Hospital, Albany Plan of Union, First Postmaster General, and diplomat.

Original publisher's white paper wrappers with blue lettering on spine. Blue and red lettering and blue illustration of the Liberty Bell on front cover. Pamphlet in original printed manila envelope hand-addressed in black ink by A. R. Tommasini. Addressed to "Mr. Mark J. [Hanrahan?]" of San Francisco. Envelope has two blue and white 7-cent Benjamin Franklin stamps in upper-right corner on front of envelope. Printed holiday greeting from Tommasini laid in. Book: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4." Envelope: 4" x 6 1/2." Twenty-eight pages, complete. Blue and white illustrations by John DePol, complete. Pages and covers are pristine and intact. Binding is tight. A Fine copy. A reprint of one of Isaac Asimov's "dreams" in which he was visited by Benjamin Franklin. They both lament the disarray of American politics in 1976, but Franklin proposes a plan to bring harmony to the United States and the world on the United States' bicentennial. Front colophon: "This is twenty-ninth in a series of Christmas keepsakes for the friends of A. R. T." Excerpt from back colophon: "Seven hundred copies of this keepsake have been printed in December, 1976, for the friends of A. R. Tommasini. . Of the 700 copies printed, 130 copies have been reserved for members of the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco, and are numbered from 101 to 230; This is copy number 141.".
