This monograph reports on an expedition to gather and test ceramic remains from several key sites in Southeast Asia, and to compare these with remains from known kiln sites in China. Monochrome and blue and white shards recovered from locations in Hong Kong, Cambodia (Angkor), Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines ranged from Song to Ming period, and are analyzed by both TL and XRF methods to date and determine chemical 'fingerprint'. Similar tests were performed on shards from various exporting kilns in Fijian Province and comparison of these to the aforementioned results are used to determine actual origin of exported wares. An important study, significantly contributing to the knowledge of Chinese ceramics exported to Asian destinations. Limited to 500 copies, now out of print. 80 pp., 104 colour photos and 8 b&w drawings and figures, 2 maps. Size: 30 x 21 cm.
